Decowell is committed to protecting your personal privacy and always strives to achieve a high level of data protection. This privacy policy explains how we collect and use your personal information. It also describes your rights and how to exercise them.

Data responsibility

Decowell KB, with registration number 969601-0488, is responsible for the processing of personal data within Decowell’s operations.

 

What is personal data?

Any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a living physical person is considered personal data by law. For example, names, email addresses, photos, and IP addresses.

 

What personal data do we collect and why?

Newsletters

Newsletters If you wish to keep in touch with us and receive emails, information, invitations, and news, we need your email address, your phone number, your name, and the company you belong to. When you sign up, you also give your consent to our sending them. You can opt-out of the subscription at any time.

 

Customer data

We only collect and store personal data from existing and potential customers that is necessary for us to fulfill our contract. For example, information about the company, contact persons, and how we can reach them. We keep this information for as long as we collaborate and up to 24 months after we have ended the collaboration.

 

Complaints

By law we are obliged to receive and handle complaints for Decowell’s products and handle them according to applicable legislation.

 

Seminars, lectures, and training

When you sign up for an event, we need your contact details to be able to send a booking confirmation and invoice and to carry out the event itself. We then use the data only as long as the accounting act requires.

 

Recruitment and potential employment

To manage job applications, possible new hires, and our employees, we need personal data, such as names, email addresses, social security numbers, and physical addresses.

When we hire new staff, we use the data to conduct or conclude the recruitment process. In legal terms, it is in our legitimate interest to obtain the information in this context. We save recruitment documents for 24 months from the date they were submitted.

 

Employees

Data about employees is used only to fulfill our obligations under the employment contract and to comply with laws and collective agreements. Data about former employees are only kept to fulfill legal requirements under the Accounting Act. Other data is deleted.

 

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. We primarily use cookies to improve and analyze your experience on our websites and for marketing purposes. We respect your right to privacy, and you can choose not to allow different cookies at any time. Blocking certain types of cookies can negatively impact your experience on the website and limit the services we can offer.

 

Analytics Tools

We use the Google Analytics statistics tool to measure and analyze traffic and user behavior on our site. By evaluating the information, we can develop the web content and our offer. We only use anonymized data in the analysis.

 

LinkedIn/Facebook/Instagram

We also use a tag from LinkedIn and a Pixel from Meta. This acts as an analysis tool to offer information/advertisements tailored to your own areas of interest from social networks.

 

Film and photography

It may happen that we take photos when we have training, seminars, internal, or external events to document and showcase things happening in our operations. The images may be published on our site or social channels like LinkedIn. If you want us to remove a photo where you are featured, contact us at info@decowell.se.

 

Who has the data?

We have suppliers called data processors who help us with services such as IT, recruitment systems, and sales tools. When necessary—and only then—we share your personal data with them. For these suppliers, we have data processor agreements that regulate that they only use the information according to our instructions.

We may also need to share data with government authorities by law.

 

Where do we process your data?

We have systems and internal processes in place to ensure that all the information we process is protected from unauthorized access. Only employees who need to have access to the personal data we store.

Our goal is to process your personal data within the EU/EEA, but if any of our suppliers are established or store information in other countries, we only share your personal data in accordance with GDPR.

 

From where do we get your personal data?

In addition to the personal data you provide to us, we may obtain information that is publicly available from third parties such as LinkedIn to manage recruitment processes. In these situations, we will notify you and you will have to consent to us saving the information.

 

Changes to the Privacy policy

We may need to make changes to our policy due to, for example, legal changes, directives, regulations, or court practice that we do not control. The latest version is always available on decowell.se.

 

Information, correction, and deletion

You have the right to access the personal data about you that we handle and store. You can also correct, complete, and delete data that is not needed for legal reasons. If you want a record extract, you need to send your request as a physical letter to us because we need your signature.

Keep in mind that in some cases, we cannot delete your personal data immediately for legal reasons.
